Lifting rigger • Oldham County, Kentucky

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Oldham County, Kentucky. You will be based at a container port. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear On the job you will handle: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
