Groundsman — Lunenburg County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a groundsman in Lunenburg County, Virginia. The job is at a private estate garden. You should have: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting The role involves: • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers Full-time, day shift.
