Great opportunity: we are hiring a plant operator in Lawrence County, Alabama. You will be based at a road-building project. You should have: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise The role involves: • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects 4+ years on the tools preferred.
