Argon welder wanted in Marion County

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Marion County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Full-time with occasional weekends.
