Now hiring: wheel loader operator (Alaska)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a wheel loader operator in Skagway Municipality, Alaska. You will work at a plant hire yard. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster Day-to-day duties: • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations Part-time with flexible hours. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
