Immediate opening: we are hiring a head butcher in Borough of Halton, England. The job is at a busy retail butcher's shop. Day-to-day duties: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Season and marinate meat on request • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools Ideal candidate: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
