Now hiring: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Prince George County, Virginia. You will work on a ready-made garment production line. Day to day you will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality. Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience.
