Bar bender and fixer • Markurdi, Benue State

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Markurdi, Benue State. The job is on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Ideal candidate: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements The role involves: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour Rotating shifts. ₦600 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
