Aluminium TIG welder wanted in Allegany County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Allegany County, Maryland. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding 5+ years on the tools preferred. $230 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
