Precision welder — City and Borough of Leeds

Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in City and Borough of Leeds, England. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp You should have: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
