Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Naugatuck Valley Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
