Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe operator in Genesee County, New York. The role involves run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing; measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges; load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper; report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter; record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet. Requirements: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
