Great opportunity: we are hiring a hoist operator in Jefferson County, Arkansas. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. Ideal candidate: • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) On a typical shift you will work out the load weight and the lifting radius; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
