Garment machinist wanted in Lake County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Lake County, Illinois. The role involves: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers You should have: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
