Tig welder — Manistee County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Manistee County, Michigan. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Your main tasks: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
