Join our team: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Day to day you will lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence. £1,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
