Urgent requirement: occupational health and safety officer (Tennessee)

Now hiring: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Bedford County, Tennessee. You will be based at a busy construction site. Ideal candidate: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training On the job you will handle: • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
