Now hiring: we are hiring a PVC window fabricator in Douglas County, Illinois. Requirements: • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) Day-to-day duties: • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame • Insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame Pay around $5,400 per month, based on your experience.
