Stainless steel welder — City of Covington

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in City of Covington, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
