Immediate opening: we are hiring a head butcher in Keokuk County, Iowa. You will be based in a meat processing plant. You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • 2+ years experience working as a butcher On the job you will handle: • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings 4+ years on the tools preferred.
