Concrete shuttering carpenter • Yancey County, North Carolina

Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Yancey County, North Carolina. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Day-to-day duties: • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • De-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb You should have: • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts We offer $3,200 per month plus benefits.
