Immediate opening: overlocker operator (Illinois)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an overlocker operator in DeWitt County, Illinois. The job is on an export house sewing floor. The role involves: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory We offer $4,200 per month plus benefits.
