Dish pit attendant • Genesee County, New York

Great opportunity: we are hiring a dish pit attendant in Genesee County, New York. You will be based in a hospital canteen. Day to day you will sanitise crockery, glassware and cutlery to the required temperature; hand-wash pots, pans and trays using the three-sink wash-rinse-sanitise method; top up detergent and rinse aid and check wash and sanitise temperatures; keep the dish pit tidy, dry and slip-free throughout service; help unload deliveries and store stock in the dry store and cold room; wash chopping boards, knives and kitchen utensils. Requirements: • Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen preferred • Willing to work evenings, weekends and split shifts • Careful handling of cleaning chemicals and degreasers Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
