Now hiring: we are hiring a general labourer in Clay County, Nebraska. Ideal candidate: • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day Day to day you will mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel; carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
