Immediate opening: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Knox County, Missouri. You will be based on a bridge and infrastructure project. You should have: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Strong attention to safety and load limits The role involves: • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
