Aluminium tig welder wanted in Caerphilly County Borough

Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Caerphilly County Borough, Wales. Your main tasks: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight We offer £6,500 per project plus benefits.
