Lifting rigger wanted in City of Kingston upon Hull

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a lifting rigger in City of Kingston upon Hull, England. You will work at a power plant. Ideal candidate: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Day to day you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Share your details and we will call you back.
