We are recruiting: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Clatsop County, Oregon. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets You will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings.
