Safety officer — City of Newport News

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a safety officer in City of Newport News, Virginia. On a typical shift you will conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors. Ideal candidate: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
