Now hiring: we are hiring a bricklayer in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Day-to-day duties: • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go Six days a week, one day off.
