Counterbalance forklift operator — City of Portsmouth

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a counterbalance forklift operator in City of Portsmouth, Virginia. You will be based at a container loading yard. On a typical shift you will pick and put away stock against pick lists and the RF scanner; log damaged pallets, leaks and faults in the defect book; transport raw materials and finished goods between bays; operate counterbalance and reach trucks within the marked aisles; read the load capacity plate and never exceed the rated lift limit; assist with stock takes and cycle counting. Ideal candidate: • Accurate, careful stock handling • Comfortable working in cold store or chilled areas • Good awareness of load stability and health and safety Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
