Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in South Gloucestershire, England. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion We offer £2,050 per month plus benefits.
