Urgent requirement: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Polk County, Nebraska. You will work in a warehouse and logistics yard. Requirements: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Your main tasks: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry 5+ years on the tools preferred.
