Ideal candidate: • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Day to day you will clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors; wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
