Great opportunity: we are hiring an elevator technician in Grundy County, Iowa. Day to day you will install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes. What we are looking for: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience.
