Fusing press operator — Sunderland

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Sunderland, England. The job is at a textile finishing unit. What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory On a typical shift you will use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
