Now hiring: we are hiring a fettler in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. The role involves maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Part-time with flexible hours.
