Now hiring: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Knott County, Kentucky. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. The role involves: • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $210 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
