Aluminium tig welder — Washington County

Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Washington County, Nebraska. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Your main tasks: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
