The role involves: • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays You should have: • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces 5+ years on the tools preferred. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
