Hand presser — Hopkins County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a hand presser in Hopkins County, Texas. You will be based at a garment factory. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine The role involves: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron Part-time with flexible hours.
