Elevator technician — Delaware County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an elevator technician in Delaware County, Iowa. You will be based on a lift modernisation project. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring Day-to-day duties: • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $4,500 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
