Foundry operative — Mineral County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Mineral County, Colorado. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
