Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Halifax County, North Carolina. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Day to day you will set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut.
