Great opportunity: concrete finisher (Alaska)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a concrete finisher in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska. You will be based on a road and bridge project. On a typical shift you will float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
