Now hiring: we are hiring a marble polisher in Funtua, Katsina State. The job is in a stone processing yard. Day-to-day duties: • Seal natural stone against staining with impregnating sealers • Measure up and template countertops and floor areas before cutting • Lay marble tiles and slabs on floors, stairs and walls with adhesive mortar • Fill cracks, chips and open veins with colour-matched epoxy resin • Cut marble and granite slabs on a bridge saw with diamond blades Requirements: • Good eye for joints, levels and overall finish • Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy slabs • Knowledge of epoxy resin filling and colour matching Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
