Foundry worker — Knox County

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry worker in Knox County, Tennessee. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
