Sheet metal press operator • Barbour County, Alabama

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Barbour County, Alabama. You will work on the press shop floor. You will adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses. Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses 4+ years on the tools preferred. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
