Immediate opening: formwork carpenter (Mississippi)

Join our team: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Tippah County, Mississippi. You will be based at an infrastructure construction site. Ideal candidate: • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites Day to day you will brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations; repair damaged plywood and timber shutters; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
