Rigger wanted in McLeod County

Join our team: we are hiring a rigger in McLeod County, Minnesota. You will work at a container port. What we are looking for: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket The role involves: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear 2+ years on the tools preferred.
